... is as easy to reach, as full of experiences and as diverse as the forest. During a leisurely stay in the forest (also known as forest bathing) we relax effortlessly and with pleasure. The forest fascinates us. The forest atmosphere activates our senses without having to exert ourselves. It allows us to perceive, observe and be mindful. The forest awakens many of our thoughts and feelings. All of them are positive and prove to be beneficial.
We can let go of stress and breathe in the healthy forest air, which acts like a natural aromatherapy: the forest air is particularly rich in phytoncides and terpenes, bioactive plant substances that are present in the forest air and communicate with our immune system.
The essential thing we are missing today is the right attitude: going into the forest just to be there (IM-WALD-SEIN®). It is a bit like searching for old relatives and connections in a place from which we have emigrated. Not because it is a trend or a new "craze", but because it has a healing effect. The forest is our natural habitat. We lived in it and with it until around 10,000 years ago when we developed out of the forest.
Natural forest surroundings plus terpene-rich forest air are the mix that strengthens body, mind and soul. Shinrin Yoku according to Dr. Qing Li and forest therapy according to the IM-WALD-SEIN method® are two excellent concepts for making the healing power of the forest medically tangible and for bringing more nature into our lives.
Together with the multidisciplinary IM-WALD-SEIN® team, I am working at various levels to ensure that being in the forest becomes a recognized and widely promoted health strategy that is incorporated into regular medical care. I give lectures, take part in discussions, give seminars, workshops and coaching sessions.
My IM-WALD-SEIN® Toolbox, the only original and leading program for individual health care in and with the forest (Shinrin Yoku according to Dr. Qing Li), has received an excellent response. Why not try it out for yourself?

“Beautiful and cleverly written book on the trendy topics of forests and health. I was particularly interested in the health-promoting effects of terpenes, which are explained scientifically (but easily understood). All in all, it is a very informative, factual book that makes me want to spend more time in forests. It also has an appealing and high-quality design and is a pleasure to pick up.”
