Highly recommended! I am impressed by the well-founded and yet very entertaining presentation of the complex and important topics of forests and health. After reading it, you will want to set off straight away and be in the forest ... On forest medicine: I like to spend a lot of time in nature, but was initially rather sceptical about forest bathing because of its slightly esoteric feel. After this book was recommended to me, I was surprised to find that forest bathing is not just about some far-fetched or complicated practices, it really has substance: how and why can the forest do us good and even heal us? How can we utilise this potential effectively and in the best possible way for ourselves? I always knew that forests were good for you - but what was new to me was the fact that spending time in the forest has been proven to strengthen the immune system. This is described in the book competently and in a way that is easy to understand, even for non-medical professionals. The author tested it herself in an experiment with friends and had this experiment scientifically monitored – it was a very interesting read!

The audio guide: a good practical tool for winding down and recharging your batteries in the forest. It includes movement, breathing and awareness exercises for walks in the forest. The content is well spoken without any annoying mindfulness blah-blah, but with lots of positive ideas and explanations about the forest. The authors don't impose anything on you. You can do everything at your own pace and with your own focus. I use the programme to improve my health, as I can no longer go on long hikes due to a slipped disc, but I need nature to clear my head and feel good. I vary the exercises depending on how much time I have. I've already been out in a few forests and after two or three hours I feel like I've had a short holiday. It's amazing that the programme works everywhere. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Shinrin Yoku and forest bathing or people who, like me, enjoy being out in nature and are open to new ideas.
